Brief Autobiography

All of my life I was attracted by colors, but I didn't know that colors will lead me toward the passion of my life.

8 years ago I discovered the world "quilt" on the Internet, absolutely by chance. It was love at first sight, a love that gave a new sense to my life.
The colors and shapes from quilts revealed me a world that I have never imagined it could exist, especially when I realized that all the artwork was made from fabrics.

I live in Romania, a country where the word "quilt" is completely unknown for most of the people.
Obviously, my desperate searching for books, tools and fabrics for quilting in our shops was a failure. Very disappointed, I told myself "So much about quilting !". Still, I kept looking on Internet. And so I became addicted to quilting.

I studied engineering for 6 years, I worked 10 years in computer's world, but from there to handwork is a very long way...
Completely seduced by the quilting world, I abandoned my occupation and all other passions and I dedicated myself to quilting.

My life turned on a different road, full of passion for beauty. It is a road that I never dreamed of. It is a road that I never imagined that it could bring so much happiness and fulfillment to me.

I remember how hardly I deciphered the first quilting book. I was so confused about all the terms with "B": binding, backing, batting, basting !
Since then, a lot of things have changed for me, I learnt so much about quilting (all by myself) and I even managed to make quilts myself.

Though I do not practice what I prepared for many years, the years spent in college were so important to me. In those years I learnt to study by myself and met the love of my life- my dear husband. We are married for 15 years. He is the biggest fan of my quilts and without his support today I would not make quilts.

My husband and my entire family encouraged me to work what I love so the passion of my life became a part of my every day life.

I knew for sure that I was born to quilt from the very beginning. Now, I can't imagine my life without quilts !

Quilting brings me so much fun, I hope that my quilts will delight your eyes and your soul.
